Firefox OS is an open-source mobile operating system that was developed by Mozilla Corporation. It is primarily designed to power low-cost smartphones and entry-level devices. Firefox OS is based on web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, allowing developers to easily create web-based apps that can run seamlessly on different devices. The OS also features a minimalist interface, fast performance, and strong privacy and security features. Despite its potential, Firefox OS failed to gain significant market share and was discontinued in 2016.
