Objective-C is a high-level, object-oriented programming language that was originally developed by Brad Cox and Tom Love in the early 1980s. It was later adopted by Apple Inc. and became the primary programming language used for developing applications for macOS and iOS. Objective-C is a superset of the C programming language, which means that it includes all the features of C, as well as additional features for object-oriented programming, such as classes, objects, and inheritance. Objective-C also includes features for dynamic binding, which allows developers to write code that can be executed at runtime. Today, Objective-C has largely been replaced by Swift, Apple’s newer programming language for app development, but it still has a large legacy codebase and is used in some older applications.
